I picked up two of these water containers from REI during a random store visit. I was looking for a simple water container for a upcoming beach trip and didn't have any time to order anything online. After a few uses this last minute purchase proved to be a great one.
The 7 Gallon capacity is a great size. One container is typically more than enough for one day. If you get two and fill them to capacity you will have enough water for a weekend trip for multiple people. I only tend to carry potable water but since the containers are BPA free you can carry drinking water if need be. Also this container filled to the brim with water is a perfect size when it comes to weight. It's not too heavy and doesn't require too much effort when lifting in and out of the vehicle. I wouldn't go hiking with this container but you get the idea.
The technical specs pulled from REI's website are listed below--
The tap style spigot screws onto the container and is reversible so the actual spigot can be stored inside the container during transportation. This is a great feature which helps prevent any accidental damage to the spigot while it's bouncing around in the bed of your truck. In addition, as mentioned before the spigot's water flow is adjustable, not just a on/off function.
Overall the Reliance Water Container is a great buy. The container's material has held up quite well despite living in the back of my truck during trips. The sturdy handles are well placed and allow you to carry the container in a both horizontal or vertical position. If you're in the market for a BPA free water container at a great price look no further.
